Hi,
just seeing if anyone has any advice on places to stay in los angeles. ive got 4 days in san francisco sorted and then i drive to LA down the coast. lots of places have been booked as its a bank holiday week. amazing that a bank holiday in engalnd has that affect over there. looking for 4 or 5 nights in hollywood area. that should be enough. maybe too much? then 4 or 5 nights on the coast near ... Half the World Travel
Does anyone know what my best option of travelling half way around the world is? All these companies seem to offer RTW tickets but I'm looking to fly:
Auckland > Buenos Aires
Buenos Aires > Rio
* Make my way overland*
Lima > Mexico City
Mexico City > New York
New York > London
My only option at the minute seems to pay for individual flights which obviously is more costly

Would you offer me an advice on my travel plans?I am traveling from Great Britain and looking to travel to japan for two week then onto Thailand for two weeks then heading to New Zealand and hopefully work there for 4months, from there heading to Fiji/Hawaii and for the return to GB through Los Angeles. How to bring camera equipment and what to bring or leave out
Hi Everyone
My hubby and I will be going to SE Asia for 10 weeks later in the year.
My hubby is a keen photographer so we are going to bring our Nikon D80 . Thing is we don't know whether its best to keep it in the rucksack or carry an additional camera bag ?
Also not sure whether or not to bring tripod?
Any tips/tricks/advice will be appreciated.

Busking around the world?
Hey all!
If I stick to my financial plan, then by this time next year, I shall have paid off o/draft + credit card, and have about 300 / 400 pounds saved.
Soon after then I will be setting off travelling for a long time (at least a year I'm planning) I have no destination, just a desire to explore.

Cozumel to Chechen Itza
My girlfriend and I are travelling to Cozumel for 1 week and would like to take a day trip to Chechen Itza. Does anyone know if this is possible? I'm last-minute-planning a trip to Canada, leaving in the next week or so, and I plan to visit for 4-6 weeks.

Travel Insurance - Experience of JS insurance or globelink?
Does anybody have any personal experience claiming from either JS insurance or globelink (or worldwideinsure.com)?
I normally use World Nomads, but for my next trip, their Medical-evacuation coverage is not sufficient (i'm going somewhere waaay off track and inaccessible, and a pre-req is the need for a minimum Medical-repatriation of 1million gbp. World Nomads cover that as a UK resident, but NOT as a Swedish resident, which I am - their coverage is much lower)
