Busking around the world?

Round The World Travel - Wed, 07/02/2008 - 21:23
Hey all! If I stick to my financial plan, then by this time next year, I shall have paid off o/draft + credit card, and have about 300 / 400 pounds saved. Soon after then I will be setting off travelling for a long time (at least a year I'm planning) I have no destination, just a desire to explore. I was wondering whether leaving with 400 pounds is stupid or reasonable? I wont be living it up and spending lots of money. ... [Posted by 7sep7 - Jul 02, 13:23]

Canada (BC & Alberta) - public transport or car?

North America - Wed, 07/02/2008 - 13:08
Hi there, I'm last-minute-planning a trip to Canada, leaving in the next week or so, and I plan to visit for 4-6 weeks. Can I realistically tour British Columbia and Alberta using public transport or is a car the only way to go? Your opinions would be very helpful, particulary if you've used trains/buses to get around... I'm quite nervous at the thought of driving on mountian roads so I guess one option could be to pair up with someone to share the ... [Posted by sammarie - Jul 02, 05:08]

Travel Insurance - Experience of JS insurance or globelink?

Round The World Travel - Tue, 07/01/2008 - 18:36
Does anybody have any personal experience claiming from either JS insurance or globelink (or worldwideinsure.com)? I normally use World Nomads, but for my next trip, their Medical-evacuation coverage is not sufficient (i'm going somewhere waaay off track and inaccessible, and a pre-req is the need for a minimum Medical-repatriation of 1million gbp. World Nomads cover that as a UK resident, but NOT as a Swedish resident, which I am - their coverage is much lower) Or alternatively, can anybo ... [Posted by Gelli - Jul 01, 10:36]
